The William D. Squires Educational Foundation is a
small non-profit family foundation, created solely to offer
financial need-based scholarships to students only from Ohio.
Although The
William D. Squires Scholarship is primarily a financial need-based
scholarship, applicants must also have a specific
career goal and be highly motivated. The
Scholarship Selection Committee also considers the
student's academic promise. A minimum 3.2 GPA is required.
12 scholarships have
just been awarded to the
Class of 2009. The award is $3,000 and is renewable up
to 3 additional years for a total of up to $12,000.
We would
like to thank all applicants for taking the

Every year we wish we could offer more
scholarships. There are always so many deserving
candidates.
The foundation
has just past a milestone. With the addition
of 12 new recipients, we are very proud to announce that a
total of 150 William D. Squires Scholarships have been
awarded since The Foundation began in 1999.
There will be 46 scholarship recipients attending 31
different colleges during the 2009-2010 school year. Recipients must be from Ohio but may attend schools outside
